Join Catholic Charities of Southern Colorado for our Meet Catholic Charities of Southern Colorado - Community Open House on Tuesday, June 24 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Fellowship Hall.

This free, public event is a great opportunity to meet our team, learn more about our programs, and see the impact Catholic Charities is making throughout Southern Colorado. This event is a great opportunity for kinship families to spend time together, enjoy ice cream treats, play yard games, and connect with other grandparents, relatives, and family friends who are caring for and raising children.

💙 Reflecting on the impact of our Nurturing Parenting Program

As the Nurturing Parenting Program comes to a close on June 30, 2026 due to funding cuts, Catholic Charities of Southern Colorado is taking a moment to honor the incredible impact this program has had on families in our community.

Over the years, Nurturing Parenting has supported parents, caregivers, children, and adolescents by helping families strengthen relationships, build new skills, and create positive home environments. Through classes, family activities, parent feedback, and connections to community resources, this program has helped families feel supported, encouraged, and empowered.

We are deeply grateful to the families who trusted us to be part of their journey, the staff who poured their hearts into this work, and the community partners who helped make this program possible.

Although Nurturing Parenting is coming to a close, our commitment to families remains strong. Catholic Charities will continue supporting families through other programs and resources, and we are preparing to launch Love and Logic parenting classes as an alternative option for families.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the Nurturing Parenting Program meaningful for so many families. 💙

Start out at The Relief Shelter located at 728 W. 4th St. with our wrap around service partners like Catholic Charities of Southern Colorado, Pueblo Community Health Center, San Soucy Law, Anthony's Mobile Dentistry, Innovive, Paragon Behavioral Health Connections and more.

Also Chef Harvey with Steel City Cafe with have his food truck at the event with 50% of the proceeds benefitting us here at The Pueblo Shelter with SafeSide Recovery.

We can't wait to tell you about the success of our clients, residents and have you meet the team alongside our community partners.

Catholic Charities of Southern Colorado would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Knights of Columbus for generously serving as the Venue Sponsor for the Rising Son Breakfast.

Your support strengthens families by backing up fatherhood programs that uplift and equip fathers.

Join us on Thursday, August 13, at the Pueblo Union Depot for a morning of connection and inspiration. Keynote speaker John Register, a Paralympic medalist and U.S. Army combat veteran, will share his message of resilience and leadership.
