~MEMBERSHIP MONDAY~
Good Afternoon, Latino Chamber members! We would like to recognize the Pueblo Community Soup Kitchen in today's edition of Membership Monday.👪🥖🥗

The Pueblo Community Soup Kitchen has been serving individuals and families experiencing hunger in Pueblo for nearly 50 years. Its roots date back to November 1976, when Sister Sara Mulligan of the Sisters of Charity helped establish a soup kitchen in the basement of St. Anthony Church after recognizing the need to provide food to people traveling through Pueblo and those experiencing hardship. As the organization grew, community volunteers and supporters helped establish a permanent location, and the Pueblo Community Soup Kitchen opened its current facility at 422 W. 7th Street in February 1991.

The Soup Kitchen provides free, nutritious meals in a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for anyone who is hungry. The organization currently serves breakfast and lunch six days a week, Monday through Saturday, with freshly prepared meals designed to provide nourishment and dignity to individuals and families in need. The Soup Kitchen does not require guests to demonstrate their need or meet income qualifications to receive a meal; their philosophy is that the individual seeking food is the best judge of whether they need assistance. The organization also works with community partners and food donors and has shared donated food and resources with other local organizations serving people in need.
