We provide $10 glasses and $25 cataract surgeries in 30 countries, partnering with local doctors and clinics to make eye care affordable, accessible, and sustainable for the communities they serve. We empower highly-trained and highly-motivated local physicians throughout the world, mostly in developing countries. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax exempt organization recognized by the IRS, and all

donations to CharityVision International are tax-deductible in accordance with US tax regulations. CharityVision is a subsidiary of Deseret International Foundation founded in 1987.

For thousands of families in Afghanistan, it means the chance to see clearly, work again, and care for the people they love. Thanks to Dr. Shir's leadership, the new Amirzada Charity Vision Eye Center—our second clinic together—will restore sight today while opening new opportunities for women in optometry, strengthening eye care for generations to come.

🇸🇴 During our final outreach of the month in Somalia, 68 people received eye screenings, treatment, and referrals for specialized care, including cataract surgery and glaucoma care.

For families living in displaced communities, accessing healthcare can be a major challenge. We’re grateful to bring essential eye care closer to those who need it most.

🇬🇭 Anadine, our Programs Director, spent last week in Ghana onboarding local partners to the SightBuddies school screening program.

We believe the strongest programs are built with local people leading the way. They know the culture, speak the language, and can follow up with children and families faster and more effectively. CharityVision is proud to work alongside teams who know their communities best.

🇮🇳 Dr. Sethi in India is restoring sight through cataract surgery using an advanced, stitchless Phacoemulsification technique. Patients experience a quick recovery and clear vision within a few days!

Our humanitarian journey began in the Philippines, where we provided cleft palate, clubfoot, and eye surgeries to people in need.

As CharityVision grew to focus on restoring sight, our friends at Mabuhay Deseret Foundation continued changing lives through cleft palate and clubfoot surgeries.

We're grateful for this incredible team and the volunteers who serve with compassion, believing every person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.

• Did you know babies can get a full eye exam at 6 months old? A young girl gets her eyes checked at an outreach program in Somalia.

• After a 4-day medical mission in the Philippines, over 1500 patients were screened, 800 pairs of glasses were given, and 60 cataract surgeries were performed.

• The closest eye care center was more than four hours away. Our team went to Zapal, Colombia, to deliver vital eye services to a community with limited access.

• A student in Ghana gets glasses to see the board clearly.
