We are the leading provider of supports for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities in R.I. The Groden Center, Inc. The Cove Center, Inc.

is a school and residential treatment center in Rhode Island enhancing the lives of children and youth with autism, behavioral disorders, and developmental disabilities by providing early autism intervention services, an early childhood education program at the Livingston Center, as well as providing functional and social development instruction to school-age children with learning disabilities. provides instructional vocational and residential programs for adults over 21 in Rhode Island with developmental disabilities, autism, mental retardation, behavioral disorders, emotional disturbances, learning disabilities, and mental health disorders. The Halycon Center, Inc. provides instructional vocational and residential programs for adults over 21 in Massachusetts with developmental disabilities, autism, mental retardation, behavioral disorders, emotional disturbances, learning disabilities, and mental health disorders.

What an incredible milestone! ❤️

Last week, we celebrated 50 years of The Groden Network, bringing together the people who have made our work possible over the past five decades. From our dedicated staff and families to our community partners and supporters, this celebration was a reminder of what makes Groden so special: the people, the connections, and the lives we touch every day.

For 50 years, we've continued to grow, learn, and find new ways to support individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. As we look back on everything we've accomplished together, we're just as excited about what lies ahead.

Our clients recently enjoyed a visit with Mrs. Skipper, one of Rhode Island’s larger-than-life trolls created by renowned recycle artist Thomas Dambo! 🧌

Tucked along the East Providence shoreline, Mrs. Skipper makes for a fun and memorable outing, giving our clients the chance to get out into the community, explore something new, and enjoy a little local magic. 💚

Sometimes, enriching someone’s life looks like something as simple as a trip to the grocery store. 🛒

For Pam, it meant picking up some clam chowder to make and enjoy. Sara was there to help make that happen, bringing Pam to the store and supporting her in picking up something she was looking forward to.

These everyday moments may seem small, but they are an important part of the meaningful, person-centered support our staff provide every day.

From helping with a favorite meal to getting out into the community, our staff are there to support our clients in doing the things they enjoy, building independence, and making the most of everyday life. ❤️

It’s the small things that can make a big difference.

🎾 Serving up meaningful opportunities!

We’re proud to partner with Rally Point Tennis, where our adult clients have the opportunity to both work and play at the facility.

As part of their work, our clients help with ball collection and other important tasks around the facility. They also get to enjoy time on the courts, making this partnership a great opportunity to build workplace skills, stay active, have fun, and be part of the community.

We’re grateful to Rally Point for creating such a welcoming environment and providing our clients with opportunities to learn, contribute, and enjoy the sport! 💙

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had the opportunity to celebrate and spotlight some of the incredible Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) across The Groden Network. 💙

But the impact of our DSPs goes far beyond a week of recognition. Every day, they help the people we serve build skills, pursue their interests, connect with their communities, and live more independently. They provide encouragement, compassion, support, and a familiar presence that can make all the difference.

Their hard work and dedication deserve to be recognized all year round.

To all of our DSPs: thank you for everything you do, every single day. We appreciate you! 💙

Congratulations to Cynthia Maduagwuna, Cove’s DSP of the Year, and Liz Diamond, CHTS’s DSP of the Year! 💙

Today, Cynthia and Liz were honored at CPNRI’s DSP of the Year ceremony at the WaterFire Arts Center, alongside DSPs from providers across Rhode Island.

The ceremony was filled with incredible stories and served as a powerful tribute to the important, life-changing work DSPs do every day for people with developmental disabilities and the communities they call home.

We are so proud to have Cynthia and Liz represent The Groden Network and show our community the very best of what we have to offer. Their dedication, compassion, and commitment make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people they support.
