We are officially into the "ber" months - which means November is coming! It's almost parade time!!

Mother Nature ruined it last year, but we talked to her, and we have an understanding this year!

Prophetstown Proud hosts the Prophetstown Lighted Christmas Parade annually the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This event is sponsored by Hanford Insurance. Come join us for various family activities, including meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus, This is a free event, but donations are gladly accepted!

Fourth Friday Cruise Night/ Touch a Truck is complete✅

We owe a HUGE THANK YOU to Brian and Coty of Prophetstown Public Works! Not only did they bring their equipment for Touch a Truck, they took care of road blocks, and helped where needed for the event!

Thank you to all the Touch a Truck participants tonight! Rock River Lumber and Grain, Brad Bohms, Vern’s Farm Supply, Quality Ready Mix, Army National Guard, Action Power Sports - Sterling, Whiteside County Sheriffs Office, Prophetstown Police Department, Prophetstown Fire Department, and Prophetstown Public Works

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Car Cruise In! It was great seeing all of the vehicles on Main Street!

We are saddened to hear the news of our beloved Hartig Drug closing down in September!

We will surely miss having Missy and all the staff on Main Street!

It is with deep regret that we announce that Hartig Drug in Prophetstown will permanently close on September 8, 2026.

Due to the unexpected and immediate loss of our licensed pharmacy staff, we have been unable to secure the licensed personnel needed to continue operating our pharmacy. This was an incredibly difficult decision and one that was not made without careful consideration for our patients, customers, employees, and the Prophetstown community.

We understand this news may bring questions and concerns, and we are committed to providing information and assistance throughout this transition. More details regarding prescriptions and other services will be shared with our patients and customers as they become available.

We are sincerely grateful to the Prophetstown community for your support over the years.
