For over 60 years, Prophetstown has been proud to be one of the top destinations for fireworks in the state of Illinois. The 4th of July is an all day celebration for our entire community, full of entertainment and fun for your whole family! Spend the day watching the 3-on-3 basketball tournament, enjoy a cookout from our local Boy Scout Troop, then check out the kids games, rock skipping contests

, horseshoe tournaments, and live music in the Prophetstown State Park. To end the night, find the perfect spot to set up your blankets and lawn chairs along the banks of the Rock River, and be ready to take in our magnificent fireworks display!

Just dropping a quick thank you note as I will make a more in-depth post after all the dust settles. First off thanks to all the volunteers that helped. It’s not an easy event to put on for sure and I personally learned that first hand this year! And thank you so much to everyone that came out and supported it! Without you all l, this show would not happen! Now on to bigger things for next year! As I said I will be making a follow up post so understand that I see you all and appreciate you!
