As the anti-gay violence escalates, the film evolves into an exposé of hate politics that crosses lines of race, religion, and sexual identity. As the polarizing issue of gay marriage re-invigorates these “cultural wars” of the last decade today, this classic documentary resonates as strongly as ever. Director Heather Lyn MacDonald ducks behind the headlines to bare the passions and strategies that drove both sides. Culled from hundreds of hours of material shot over the nine months leading to the election, BALLOT MEASURE 9 tells a story of driving urgency. We had so much fun at last month's mtg. This one will be equally as fun! Just bring jeans, shorts, a tote bag, or anything else you would like to sew patches on. Fashion Workshop is a 501c3. From their website: "At Fashion Workshop, we are passionate about making fashion design and sewing accessible to everyone. Our mission is to facilitate free and low cost sewing and design classes and community. We believe in promoting environmentally conscious practices with upcycled workshops and our Upcycled Fabric Store. Join the workshop community of inclusive and sustainable fashion & sewing enthusiasts!"

Hello Pridevillers!
It's that time of year when the rainbows start peeking out through the clouds and we get ready to celebrate Pride in 2026! Prideville is busy gearing up for our 2026 Festival with the theme of "Small Town, Big Pride" for this year's event.
For those of you wanting to register as booths or entertainers, we are happy to announce that registration is live now: https://forms.gle/psbo6UzTwKZrNS2S7. You can also find festival information and registration links on our website: www.prideville.org.
Volunteers are welcome to sign up for open volunteer roles, so check out our menu of options/shifts on our Volunteers Page on our site. We need more help this year to cover all our bases, and volunteers are eligible for a free Prideville Tshirt as a THANK YOU for a commitment of 2+ hrs of volunteer work. Of course, we welcome as much support as you can give!
Donations and Sponsorships are another great way to contribute to Prideville and help us sustain our work of building our festival and safe community space every year. We will offer recognition to any and all contributors, and no amount is too small!
Likewise, our community of organizers is very limited, and we are still looking for more passionate community members to join our Board of Directors. If you are feeling the societal pressures and aren't sure how to resist hate and discrimination nationally, please consider getting involved locally in Prideville's Board. Everyone has a place in our movement with meaningful skills/gifts to contribute, and we want YOU at the table to keep Prideville going strong. More info is available on our Volunteer webpage, too.

We still have room at PFLAG Prineville's upcoming event this Saturday. Can't stay long? That's fine. Just come for the speaker from 9 until noon. We have food for 30 people so you don't even have to register. Just show up if you're willing to listen and learn.

Last chance to sign up!

PFLAG Prineville spends quite a bit of money on these trainings. In the past, we were fortunate enough to get grants from META or from donors. Unfortunately, META didn't fund us this year. We got a small grant from St. Charles to pay for our speaker, but rest will come out of our funding. We can't maintain this if people don't show up!

All over the country, anti-trans bills are being passed. Just look to our neighbors in Idaho. The Idaho governor signed into law the harshest anti-trans bathroom bill in the nation! Think this can't happen here in Oregon? It absolutely can. Everyone needs to get involved. You can start by attending our training. It is absolutely free and we'll feed you! YOU can be the change we need to see in the world and it can start right here in Prineville. Speak up when someone shares misinformation or belittles LGBTQ+ people. Be willing to step up for the ones we love! Be there on April 11th!
