Wonderful news!! But the fight isn’t over!

Well, this is good news! IP 28 FAILS to qualify for the November 2026 ballot. Proponents came up short on signatures - only 104,262 valid signatures, or 73.25% of the 142,347 signatures were accepted for verification. The petition has not qualified.

🔥UPDATE: Thank you all for your quick responses! Some of you have posted, shared, called, texted and left voice mails. We appreciate everyone’s offers and efforts and we wish we had the bandwidth to have answered everyone’s messages.

We were notified this afternoon that Gilliam County is working on sourcing local hay for the Hay Creek Complex fire displaced animals, so hay transport from Redmond and KFalls is not necessary at this point. However, we are monitoring the recovery and if there’s need, we’ll repost or message those on this thread.

This complex is early and unfortunately we expect a long fire season, so other hay transport needs are anticipated. Please follow our page for updates and information about unmet needs you may be able to assist with in the future.
