These two creatures live near my studio; Spider I swept out yesterday, gently, and Toad was on the stoop this morning. There are giant hostas nearby, under which they now live. They have their own music while I rehearse mine inside. Today I will carry all the equipment to the rec center, once again, two years in, for our monthly “Last Friday Open Mic.“ Mainely Girls is building community once again after the Pandemic, with a summer program offered through the Presque Isle Sargent Communit/Rec Center. Check it out! www.mainelygirls.com
We are so very grateful to the staff at the Presque Isle Sergeant Center for the support they have offered Mainely Girls and all of the wonderful musicians who come to share their music over the last two years!
We are starting our third year and hope you spread the word and come to join us – (6-9 pm) Encourage young people to come and play! It is a safe space for everyone! I know that I have grown, by getting out and playing in front of other people, my shy songs.
Peace and Love, Beloved Community!
(all creatures, great and small!)
