Today we wrapped up the second and final day of the 2022 Maine State FFA Convention. Today, members of our chapter participated in Prepared Public Speaking CDE Competition, Courtesy Corps, and went on tours of the NMCC campus. Congratulations to the following winners:

Farm and AgriBusiness Management CDE- The team of Natalie Charette, Chris Tardie, and Damien DuMont won 2nd Place in the team event.

Horse Evaluation CDE- Kristin Bragg won 2nd place in the individual competition.

Farm and AgriBusiness Management CDE- Damien DuMont won 1st place in the individual portion of the event, and is now eligible to compete at the National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Prepared Public Speaking CDE- Damien DuMont won 1st place in the individual portion of the event, and is now eligible to compete at the National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Day 1 of the 2022 Maine FFA Convention is in the books! Today, members of our chapter participated in the Farm/AgriBusiness Management CDE competition, Horse Evaluation CDE Competition, and tours of Columbia Forest Products and Aroostook Trusses. This evening, we attended the award banquet at NMCC where President Parker Corey was presented with a scholarship to attend the week-long Washington Leadership Conference this summer in DC. We also enjoyed great speeches and presentations by State and National officers, and the Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Education. Tomorrow members will volunteer in the Courtesy Corps and the Prepared Public Speaking CDE Competition, followed by the Alumni Banquet for our seniors, and the awards presentation. Thanks again to our great community for their support that allows us to attend events like these, and our amazing advisor Hollie Umphrey for all the hard work she puts into our chapter.
