Building Hope for Autism spent today with the Shawnee Kansas Fire Department providing basic Autism 101 and sensitivity training. We also shared how to use our sensory kits to help individuals experiencing distress feel safer, calmer, and better supported during an emergency.

We’re grateful to these first responders for their commitment to understanding and serving everyone in our community. ❤️

One nonprofit is working with first responders to help support those with autism in the event of an emergency.
