Your voice matters—in your school, your community, and at the ballot box. Young people deserve a say in decisions that shape their future. If you’re eligible, make a plan to vote and encourage a friend to do the same. Local elections matter, too—show up for your community!

Voting in New Hampshire? Generally, you must be a U.S. citizen, be 18 by Election Day, and be domiciled in the NH town or city where you vote. You can register through your town or city clerk or at your polling place on Election Day. Be ready to provide documentation for voter registration and bring an accepted photo ID to the polls. Check with the NH Secretary of State or your local clerk for current rules, accepted documents, and deadlines.

Pools are open 7am-8pm!

Are you planning to vote Nov. 3rd?

Stories, community, and the freedom to read.

Your voice belongs in the conversation about the books we get to read and have access to. So WHO gets to decide what young people can read? 🤔

Laws and policies can shape the rules that schools, libraries and institutions use to decide which books are available—and those choices affect young people’s access to stories, info, ideas and representation.

Join us for a banned book swap and listening session on November 8th at 1:30 p.m. at Dover Public Library to talk about how these decisions affect youth, and how young people can make their voices heard. Learn how those decisions affect what’s available to read and decisions that affect what is available to you.

Bring a book, bring a friend, and bring your perspective. We hope to see you there! 😊📚

🎃🍬 WITH 11 TRUNKS & NEARLY 100 PEOPLE- WE HAD A WHOLE LOT OF GOOD VIBES!

Okayyyy, NH! Y’all really showed up for us!👻

Trunk or Treat was filled with costumes, candy, laughter, and most importantly, COMMUNITY!

To the nearly 100 people who came out, the families who brought their little ones, and everyone who helped bring our 11 trunks to life , THANK YOU! 🖤💛

A HUGE shoutout to our incredible volunteers Red's Good Vibes for bringing the good vibes (literally!) and helping make the day special.

Thank you DJ MAM for keeping us jamming to the hottest halloween beats!

We also want to give some extra love to Caden from NH Outright, the Manchester School District, ARK Seacoast, Charlie Health, and New Futures for showing up and supporting our community.

And can we make some noise for our NEW Youth Ambassadors?! 👏🏾🔥 We’re so excited to have you stepping into leadership and helping us create more spaces where young people feel welcomed, celebrated, and empowered.

Last but definitely not least, thank you to our BLM NH Board and Leadership Team for continuing to support the vision and work of our Youth + Young Adult Division.

This is what a community looks like. Different organizations, different generations, and different people coming together to create something special for our young people.

And trust us, we’re just getting started. 😉

If you didn’t make it this year- you most definitely won’t want to miss the next one! 🌝

💜 Until next time, NH!

Trini from our Youth Division remembers the first time they saw a little bit of themself in a book—a character with their hair, who was quirky and smart, and saw the world in a familiar way. That moment of recognition helped them feel seen.

Now, they see how powerful that experience can be for young people. Books can help kids recognize themselves and understand lives beyond their own. When books are removed for everyone, those chances are taken away from every family.

Trini shares why every young person deserves the opportunity to find a little bit of themselves on the page.
