✨Welcome Wednesday✨ Welcome back Liv!! We are so glad to have Liv back as our Kiddy Camp Coordinator!!

Liv is from Portland and has been attending camp since she was 6 years old. This summer will make her seventh year on staff, and this will be her second year on leadership! Liv has a bachelor’s degree in math, and just finished receiving her nail technician license. She loves anything artsy, her cat Peaches, and Pokemon! A fun fact about Liv is that she loves to collect pins!

They gained valuable skills in camper management, conflict resolution, values-based programming, and learned plenty of fun camp songs and games along the way! 🎶🏕️

✨Welcome Wednesday✨ Today we are recognizing a familiar face, our Camp Director Ben!! Ben is entering his 12th summer as Director at YCI. He started as a junior at Portland High in 2001 and has been working at camp and the Y ever since. After graduating from Springfield College with a degree in Physical Education Ben worked as the Boating Director at camp and the Head Teacher at Valley View Kids Korner. Throughout the last 25 years Ben has developed a passion for helping young people grow and develop into the best versions of themselves. When he’s not at camp Ben enjoys playing sports (volleyball and soccer specifically), reading, and spending as much time as possible outdoors with his family. He can’t wait to see you at camp this summer!

Camp staff will lead tours during the Open House from 2:00–4:00 PM!

Then grab your fishing poles and head to the waterfront for our annual 🎣 Family Fishing Derby from 4:30-6:30pm

🐟 NEW THIS YEAR:Join our Fishing Introductory Workshop from 4:00–4:30 PM before the competition begins!

✨Welcome Wednesday✨ Give a big welcome back to our Assistant Camp Director, Julia!

This is Julia’s second summer at Ingersoll, but 11th summer working with Y camps! She attended Kent State University where she earned her bachelor’s in early childhood education and then her master’s in special education. When she’s not at camp she enjoys traveling, hiking and movie nights with friends! A fun fact about her is that she once saw someone get hit by lightning!

✨Welcome Wednesday✨ A big welcome back to Nurse Kate!! We are so excited to have her back with us this summer!

Nurse Kate is returning for her third year at Ingersoll. She lives in Middletown, and graduated from Sacred Heart with a BS in Public Health, then attended Yale for her MSN to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She works as an APRN during the school year but steps back into her RN shoes during the summer because she LOVES camp nursing! Nurse Kate likes long walks that end with ice cream, riding on the golf cart, and spending time with friends! A fun fact about her is that she once did a backflip off a trapeze!
