Lots of exciting changes happening this year for our big band family!

Congratulations to Chris Morrow as he has been named the Fine Arts Director for G-PISD. We know Mr. Morrow will do great things for our district in his new role.

Our very own Mr. Sammy Posada will be taking the reins as Head Band Director! Mr. Posada’s experience and passion for serving students will carry us forward to continue our tradition of excellence!

Help us congratulate and support both Mr. Morrow and Mr. Posada as they take on their new roles!

Volunteers needed Saturday 5/23!

Portland Rotary will be putting up flags this Saturday and they are in need of volunteers to lend a hand. It’s a Very organized process and goes very quickly if many show up to help.

We will meet at Swordfish road and Reliant, off of Buddy Ganem, across from the movie theater at 7:00 AM Saturday, May 23. THANKS!

(If it’s raining, the current plan is to meet at The donut place on Buddy Ganem and wait for it to die down).

Thank you for the early mornings, late nights, endless rides, volunteer hours, snack runs, uniform help, competition weekends, and constant encouragement you give our students and program all year long. Your support behind the scenes helps make every performance possible.

😍It’s Coca Cola distribution Eve!😍

Volunteers needed tomorrow morning at the HS student parking lot to help sort and load cars.

If you can come Early to help sort please arrive between 7:30 and 8.

What a great weekend for the GP Wildcat Band! 🎉🎶
Friday was packed with Homecoming, Senior Night, and Middle School Night! We loved seeing all the middle school kids join in the fun and can’t wait to see them on the field in the High School band soon! ❤️

It was a bittersweet and emotional night for our amazing band seniors and their parents — we’re so proud of you all! 🥹💙. Our Seniors have grown so much and have served as great leaders in the band. You all lead by example and set a HIGH bar for your younger classmates to reach for! Congratulations to you all!

And to top it all off… congrats to our very own Lanz Amarille, who was crowned 2025 Homecoming King! 👑 We are so proud of you Lanz. Thank you for representing the band and G-PISD so well!

Our marching band wrapped up the 2025 marching season at Area competition, and we couldn’t be prouder of these amazing students. The time, energy and effort they all have devoted to the show is unmatched. These kids truly know the meaning of teamwork and they have represented
G-PISD with class and PRIDE!
