Startup Weekend Access

Startup Weekend Access Pitch. Build. Launch. Enable! No talk. All action. This Portland Startup Weekend gives the experience of entrepreneurship to people with disabilities!

Startup Weekend access is about bringing Startup Weekend, a 54-hour experiential education in entrepreneurship, to the community of people with disabilities. This group is traditionally left out of the entrepreneurial process. The time for that is over and technology will be the equalizing force to make that happen. So, join us in Feb 2014 for our first event in Portland, OR, sponsored by the Port

land Development Commission. A little history: In early 2012, Todd Bachman approached the Portland Startup Weekend team with a vision of holding a Startup Weekend event for blind students from a school in WA state. They loved the idea and suggested he work with Cory Klatik, PDXSW alum. Together they created a vision for a SW format for people with disabilities, centered around solving issues collaboratively. They're building a great team around this event. Shout out if you're interested in helping!
