The new Porterville Rescue Mission We encourage all residents to seek gainful employment, attend all court dates, doctor visits and to enroll in school.

We provide emergency food and shelter to our residents, We provide clothing to the needy, We offer spiritual direction and guidance, We assist our clients in obtaining all available state and local entitlements such as SSI, MediCal, Food Stamps, Social Security, Disability etc.. We except court referrals, Ex felons, DUI/ community service clients.We provide restoration and guidance to individuals

so that they may become productive members of society. We offer structure for these men to learn, accountability, responsibility, direction, and counseling. Our staff help our residents live healthier lifestyles also setting them up with short and long term goals.

"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."- 1 John 4:7-10

Brothers and sisters, the most powerful thing in the world is love. It is the one thing that created us. Everything that God does is because He loves us. He created us because He loves us. he gave us the world to rule over it properly, because He loves us. Even after making several mistakes, God made the commandments because He loves us, and wants the best for us. And He sent His Son to die for us because He loves us. At the end of the day, he also created us to do one thing that is more important, and that is to love each other.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.- 2 Corinthians 1:3-7

Brothers and sisters, when the world turns its back on us, we can always rely on God. At the end of the day, he will never fail us, and will always come through with His promises. See, His promises are unlimited, and His resources are always their for us to use. In the long run, we can always talk to God directly knowing that we will always be able to succeed, emotionally, spiritually, and physically.

Good morning brothers and sisters. God has blessed us with another beautiful day. Here is a special message for today.

"Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."- James 5:13-16

Brothers and sisters, when we pray, it is important that we have full faith in our prayers. In every circumstance, as we draw near to God within our heart, we should also make sure that deep within our heart, and conscience are clear so that not only God can hear that we are in tune and line with His voice, but that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us at the appropriate time so that our perseverance is not in vein, and that our faith is made complete. And how do we increase this perseverance? It is through the experience in our relationships with one another that our potential for serving the Kingdom of God increases as we learn to love one another.

Good afternoon brothers and sisters. God has blessed us with another beautiful day. Here is a special message for today.

"While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, “What do you think about the Messiah? Whose son is he?” “The son of David,” they replied. He said to them, “How is it then that David, speaking by the Spirit, calls him ‘Lord’? For he says, “‘The Lord said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet.”’If then David calls him ‘Lord,’ how can he be his son?” No one could say a word in reply, and from that day on no one dared to ask him any more questions."- Matthew 22: 41-46

Brothers and sisters, their is only one way we can know who Jesus Christ is. To listen to His voice, and to know what His will is for our lives. Even David in all of His splendor, and glory knew who the true King is, and His true glory. In having faith that one day jesus is coming, David knew about these promises, so much so that he tells the story in th Book of Psalms. Now we have teh same opportunity to stand on the same promises, because they have always transcended through time, as Jesus saw fit.

Good afternoon brothers and sisters. God has blessed us with another beautiful day. Here is a special message for today.

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit."- Romans 8:1-4

Talk about the ultimate sacrifice. Jesus not only took on Satan. He bore the weight and the sin of the world on His shoulders. He saved our souls, and earned us the right to believe that God is who He says He is. We should be able to tell the difference between the desires of the flesh, and the will of God. And as we continue to desire what lies in the heart of Christ, let those same desires become what fuels us to become better children for the Kingdom of God.

"They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. “Make level paths for your feet,”so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed."- Hebrews 12:10-13

Brothers and sisters, one of the important things we can do is allow God to guide us, and instruct us. Sometimes it may not feel good when God is giving us instruction, but it is all worth it when we grow, and the see the results in our faith No matter what it is that we are going through, or what God chooses to put in front of us always. Once we have found the common ground where we meet Jesus in the middle, we can begin to see how Jesus wants us to live. Then it will make it easier to follow God's instructions, and His commands.

"Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. For we live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad."- 2 Corinthians 5:6-10

Brothers and sisters, it is always important for us take care of the palce where Jesus Christ dwells. As we allow Him to reside within our hearts, it is important for us to clean house, and make room for him to do the work He needs to do. So this means that we should have our emotions in check. This means that we should never allow negative emotions to influence our decisions. Now this also concerns what we eat, how we eat, and of course smoking. In order for us to be at service according to what God has called us to do we must first be healthy and in tune with the physical limits of what we can do, because we are only limited by what God allows us to do.

"Even though we speak like this, dear friends, we are convinced of better things in your case—the things that have to do with salvation. God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised."- Hebrews 6:9-12

Brothers and sisters, in our walk we should never give up. We should always look to God, seeking His guidance, His direction, and His peace. Let us therefore continue to be at service for one another, choosing to love above all else. Let the hope for which we have been called never cease to exist. In unity, as children of God, let us also never forget where we came from, and how God brought us forth to the current hope we have in Him.

"Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: “Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.”- Romans 4:4-8

Brothers and sisters, let the work we do in our lives always be for the Glory of God. It is more important, however to trust in God, in His will, and His promises. What lies in our hearts as far as helping others should always be an opportunity to serve the Kingdom of God. As we grow in this walk, we will make mistakes, however let us all follow the Kingdom that sets us free and brings righteousness in our faith, not in the works that we do, even when it is service to God.

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind."- James 1:2-6

Brothers and sisters, it is not always a bad thing when we face adversity. Sometimes it is this that gives us the ability to grow in our walk in faith with God. As it builds a solid foundation in Jesus Christ, may it carries us to the freedom from sin that has already been bought for us since the beginning. Let this solid foundation be what carries us into a life full of success in every area of our lives.And let this foundation be the reason we know we can draw near to God, and hold Him in our hearts.
