National Denim Day is a global, annual campaign; held in last Wednesday in April during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, where people wear jeans to protest misconceptions surrounding sexual violence. Originating from a 1990s Italian court case, it acts as a "wearable protest" symbolizing that clothing is never an invitation to assault and there is no excuse for abuse.
