🐾 HELP US REACH OUR $5,000 GOAL! 🐾
This is Benji. ❤️
Benji is one of the animals who reminds us why having the right medical equipment matters so much.
We are working to purchase an ocular tonometer for our veterinary team, and the cost is approximately $5,000.
A tonometer measures the pressure inside an animal’s eye and is an important diagnostic tool for conditions such as glaucoma, uveitis, ocular hypertension, and other painful eye conditions. Having one here at Kalamazoo Animal Rescue means our veterinarian can evaluate animals like Benji more quickly and accurately, without the wait time and having to rely on outside facilities every time this specialized equipment is needed.
$5,000 is a lot of money for a rescue. But this isn't equipment that will be used once and put away. It will help countless cats and dogs who come through our doors needing medical care.
We take in animals who are sick, injured, abandoned, and sometimes medically complicated. They deserve access to the best care we can provide.
And sometimes, having the right piece of equipment can mean the difference between wondering what's wrong and knowing how to help.
