WE HAVE GREAT NEWS:

While we have been fundraising for the 3 ADA toilets, we have a better price. Instead of $9,000, it has dropped to $8,200. So our existing $5,426 is only $2,774 away from our goal.

Any amount you can give — $10, $20, $100 — moves us closer to our goal. And if you’re in a position to contribute more, larger gifts will make a powerful difference in expanding accessible facilities across The Land.

These units meet full ADA standards and offer far more than a basic accessible restroom. They provide:

• Space for a full 360‑degree wheelchair turn
• Reinforced construction for stability
• Sturdy handrails for safety and support

They are essential for ensuring comfort, dignity, and true inclusion for every woman who visits The Land.

Together, we can continue building a space where everyone is welcomed, supported, and able to participate fully.

Ten for Tuesdays Update:

We are still seeking funding for the initial Ten for Tuesday campaign:

Grill for Community Kitchen - Can be used by all event attendees. Our goal is $400, and we are at $150. We have a ways to go, so can you help?

Ten for Tuesday: Help Us Add 15 Horse Mats

What are we asking for?

We are seeking support to purchase 15 additional horse mats to create paths to the movie tent and the recovery support tent, improving accessibility for all who visit and participate in the events.

What are horse mats and how do we use them?

Horse mats (also known as stall mats) are heavy duty, durable, shock absorbent rubber mats. We use them to create stable, accessible pathways in rough or uneven terrain. These mats help form short “sidewalks” from paved paths to essential resources such as sinks, activity tents, and the community kitchen—making it safer and easier for people with mobility challenges to navigate The Land.

Why this matters:

Accessibility for all is at the heart of WWTLC’s mission. We want everyone who wishes to attend our events to feel welcome, safe, and supported—without barriers that limit participation. These mats are a simple solution that makes a meaningful difference.

TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT:

The redraw will take place on May 1 at 8:30 p.m. Eastern via Zoom.

Giving Tuesday Donor Quilt

The 2025 Donor Quilt was created by a group of 40 quilters, called Quilting for The Land 2025, under the leadership of Roar Leonard. This special quilt is to be awarded to a randomly selected donor who contributed to WWTLC between October 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025. Every donor is entered once, regardless of donation amount.

The original drawing was held on Giving Tuesday (December 3, 2025). As we were unable to reach the selected winner, a new drawing will be held, with the quilt awarded to another donor from the same eligibility period.

The quilt, themed ’Tis the Gift, features a striking design in black fabric paired with two vibrant batik prints. It is truly a beautiful piece.

You did it — you fully funded the medic’s golf cart. You are all awesome.

Now it’s time to turn our attention back to the very first item from our Ten for Tuesday list: a new grill for the Community Kitchen.

As the campaign says, “This truly is a gift to each other. Any event participant has access to this, and our old grills have gotten a lot of use.” After years of service, it’s time to retire one of them and replace it with a heavy‑duty model that can keep up with our summer events.

We’re committed to providing grills for both carnivores and vegetarians, and this upgrade helps us continue that tradition with safety, reliability, and enough cooking space for everyone.

Please help us fund this new grill so the whole community can enjoy it this summer.

Spotlight Need of the Week: A Rental Golf Cart for Our Event Medic

This week, we’re focusing our community support on something essential for the safety and well‑being of everyone on The Land: funding a rental golf cart for our event medic during all the Summer Events.

Why this matters:

Our medic currently relies on a bike to respond to needs across The Land — and that puts a lot of miles on her body.
UPDATE: FULLY FUNDED! Yeah!!!!!!

A golf cart allows her to carry more medical supplies, respond more quickly, and stay protected from fatigue.

It’s a simple, practical upgrade that directly improves safety and accessibility for every woman and girl attending events this summer.

If enough of us pitch in — even just $10 for Tuesday — we can cover this rental and make sure our medic has what she needs to care for our community.

Let’s make this happen together.

“Ten for Tuesday” is a series of weekly fundraisers to help fund projects on The Land prior to Summer Events happening. This is a grass-roots initiative and capitalizes on the community at large, throwing small amounts of funds into the “hat.” The goal is to have these small, manageable fundraisers met within one week, so that the operating budget can be used elsewhere.

By encouraging community members to contribute small amounts, the campaign makes it easier and more accessible for more to participate. This approach not only fosters a sense of collective ownership but also ensures that essential projects receive timely support without putting undue pressure on just a few donors. Over time, “Ten for Tuesday” aims to build momentum and excitement leading up to the main events, while reinforcing the spirit of collaboration that defines The Land.

This first week, our item is a heavy-duty grill for the community kitchen.

Help Us Bring More ADA Porta‑Potties to The Land

Thanks to the generosity of our community, we have funded one ADA‑compliant porta‑potty. This is an incredible start — and we’re aiming higher. To truly meet the needs of everyone who comes home to The Land, we hope to purchase several more units and place them throughout the property.

Each ADA Porta‑Potty costs $3,000, making this a meaningful investment in accessibility. Any amount you can give — $10, $20, $100 — moves us closer to our goal. And if you’re in a position to contribute more, larger gifts will make a powerful difference in expanding accessible facilities across The Land.
