As soon as society is back to normal, we will make this a reality! In the meantime, set aside those "too small" gloves that are waiting to be put to good use or dad's/mom's old glove that is collecting dust! Also any "new" or "like new" baseballs are welcome to be donated as well. Just mitts & balls, please! Regulations change too frequently for other equipment...and I don't have a good place to store it all! Feel free to send me a picture of what you plan to donate so that I know what to expect once we're rolling!
Upon re-opening to the public, I will have a nice bin, kept at my office
(5149 Gull Rd, Kalamazoo) where donations can be made and also where gloves can be picked up and taken home for good use at no cost. I'm thinking of a small tag of sorts to go on each mitt that has brief donation information such as the donor's first name and if he has any memory he/she would like to share with it's recipient. I'll share that here once I have it and also make it available at the drop off site.
Hopefully we will build a nice stock in a short time and those new ballplayers looking for a mitt will have a fun place to shop.
