Why is rest so hard for us? In ministry, there's always another event to plan, another need to meet, another person to care for. The work is meaningful, but the pace can be relentless. Yet Scripture doesn't treat rest as optional. From Sabbath rhythms to Jesus regularly withdrawing from the crowds to pray, rest is woven into God's design for His people.

As the next busy ministry season approaches, consider this: preparing for what's ahead isn't only about strategic planning. It's also about creating space to be renewed, refocused, and reconnected with God and one another.
