OK, as I posted a couple weeks go, Erik who owns the farm where the dam is will be gone this weekend, so we will have a work party September 12th to remove the dam and chip up all the material they use to build the dams.
I think we need 5 or 6 six people to handle this. We might need another party to cut up and remove fallen trees down stream. I will keep you posted on that.
Vern Levigne is in contact , is in contact with Eric at the County to remove the debris under the bridge, that work party most likely will be on a work day.
I will keep you posted on that.
Please let me know who wants to help and we will getter done.

I have posted several requests for volunteer's to help get rid of the dam and all of the old material they use to rebuild, I guess we just let the water rise this winter and every lake owner is on their own. we need to six to eight people to get the job done, shooting for work party on August 22nd.

I want to update everyone on dams and beaver removal. We set a trap Wednesday morning and caught one this morning and will continue trapping for the next week.
After we are done trapping, we need to coordinate removal of all the material the beavers use to build the dams. I am going to rent a big chipper and we will set it close debris pile so I think six maybe eight people to get it to the chipper. I am thinking Saturday Aug. 22nd to get this done.
I think the next project is to clean up the outflow before the bridge, I am thinking the 1st or second Saturday in September to get this done. I am going to go down there next week and check the water levels to see how deep it is, but I think if we wear hip wadders we should be fine.
I think if we can get this done prior to the rainy season we should hopefully be in good shape.
