Today’s Memorial Day ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park was both somber and beautiful as our community came together to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸
A heartfelt thank you to the Broome Street Band, the Port Jervis High School Band and Chorus, and Natalie Halpenny for their outstanding patriotic performances that made the ceremony so meaningful.
Special appreciation to Tri-State Naval Ship Commander Fabrizio Morejon for his moving tribute reminding us of the true meaning of Memorial Day and the importance of pausing to reflect, remember, and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Thank you to the VFW Post 161 Chaplain Steve Kronimus for leading our community in beautiful opening and closing prayers, and to all of the elected officials, veterans, families, and community members who attended today in remembrance and gratitude.
May we never forget the courage, sacrifice, and legacy of our fallen heroes. 🪖🎖️
