We're back at the schools again - providing resources, doing preregistration and pledge to vote cards with the students. It's never to early to become civically engaged.

Don’t let your vote disappear into thin air! Your community is counting on you, so make your voice heard. Boo-lieve in your civic duty and don't ghost your ballot! 👻

Want to cook up a stronger community? Start with a little local participation, add a dash of early planning, and mix in one registered voter. Top it all off with an “I Voted” sticker.

But remember, the most important ingredient is YOU!

Fall is officially upon us, and it’s time to start knocking a few Oakland County classics off the list! 🍂

If you’re looking for something fun to get into with the crew this weekend, we’ve rounded up a few local favorites worth checking out. From c***r mills and fall festivals to scenic parks and classic Oakland County spots, there’s plenty to explore.

Be sure to double-check hours and event details before you head out. And most importantly, if you have an absentee ballot sitting at home, bring it along and drop it off first! 🗳️🍁

Then go enjoy the weekend. 😉

🏠 Housing, Community & Creativity in Pontiac!

Last night, Oakland Forward partnered with Michigan United Action and the Transforming Communities Initiative (TCI) Advisory Group for a community housing listening session—and we had some great conversations while having a little fun making mats together!

One message came through loud and clear: Pontiac residents are deeply concerned about the lack of affordable, quality housing in our city. We listened to residents share their experiences, needs, and ideas because the people closest to the issues should have a voice in shaping the solutions.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared openly, and got creative with us! 💚 We hope to see even more Pontiac residents at our next community meeting.

We’re listening. We’re organizing. We’re moving Oakland Forward.
