It’s important to hold these two truths. First, our advocacy has created real momentum. The House, Senate and Governor's budgets propose increased funding for English Language Learners, and the Senate budget also gets us closer to full support for at-risk students. Second, none of that matters if legislators drain money from the school aid fund and call it “relief”.

Take action with us to demand that elected officials fully and equitably fund public schools. For every student. No exceptions.

Tell your congress to vote NO!!

Right now, Republicans are trying to pass an even more aggressive version of the SAVE Act, which would make it harder to vote and disenfranchise millions of Americans.

The requirements would disproportionately affect people who can’t afford a passport, can’t take time off work to visit an elections office, or don’t have a birth certificate that matches their married name.

We should be making it easier to vote, not harder. Contact your representatives and tell them to vote NO on the SAVE Act: https://act.redistrictingaction.org/a/natl-saveact-cte

A MUST read!!

Because when Tides’ CEO Janiece Evans-Page and Black Voters Matter Co-Founder LaTosha Brown call the crackdown on Black philanthropy what it is: an assault on Black power, Black care, Black survival — it isn’t drama. It’s truth. And it’s a call to act.

And here’s the heart of their message in this season of giving: political attacks on Black philanthropic leaders and organizations aren’t random. They are strategic attempts by the current Administration and its allies to weaken the very networks that fuel Black communities. Their words makes clear that the attempt to dismantle Black giving is about more than money. It is about silencing voices, disrupting Black progress, and undermining the infrastructure that has sustained our people and community for generations.

These leaders are not only pushing back but building the kind of power that can’t be dismantled.
