This past Saturday, Project Hope had the privilege of standing in support of Project Kinship during their Day of Kinship CommUNITY Event.

Although we serve communities in different places, our missions are deeply connected. We believe in the power of people to heal, rebuild, reconnect, and create the future they deserve.

Reentry is not simply about returning home. It is about restoration, belonging, healing. It's about building the relationships and support systems that make moving forward possible.

Our team attended the GIFFORDS Advocacy Workshop in Los Angeles this morning, hosted by the GIFFORDS Latino Advisory Council. The workshop focused on bridging community violence intervention, organizing, and movement building in Latino communities.

The session featured voices including former U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona, Ed. D., Luis Jonathan Hernández of Youth Over Guns, Ashley Monterrosa of the Sean Monterrosa Project, and Jacquelyn Santiago of COMPASS Youth Collaborative.

This work takes many forms, and we’re reminded that it’s strongest when we move together.

Thank you to the GIFFORDS Latino Advisory Council for bringing this group together for such an important conversation.
