Breed Survey Scorebook Requirement:

When hosting a Breed Survey, all dogs with a USCA scorebook must have the Breed Survey page completed in its scorebook. This requirement applies regardless of whether the Breed Survey is officiated by a USCA judge or an SV/WUSV-recognized judge.

Clubs are responsible for ensuring that the Breed Survey page in the USCA scorebook is completed for any dog that has a USCA scorebook. This ensures that the official Breed Survey results are properly recorded in the dog's scorebook and maintained as part of its permanent record.

Great news! Dennis Vander Linde will join us as one of the teaching helpers for the Regional Helper Seminar.

We have updated the schedule for Saturday:

Join us at 10 am for some HUP HUP training and an opportunity to get some stack pictures/headshots of your dog.

Grab some lunch and join Kayla from Little Paw Rehab who will demonstrate proper warm ups/cool downs and show some stretches for our four legged athletes. Stop at her booth at any time for a laser session, quick evaluation or just pick up a brochure.
We love to use her for our dogs, you'll love her too.

Now that the dust has settled and I’ve finally caught up on some sleep and work, I’d like to take a moment to thank the people who made our trial such a success.

First, a huge thank you to our judge, Ludger Vortkamp, for sharing his knowledge, providing thorough critiques, and for the genuine passion and heart he brings to our sport. His advice on how to continue progressing in our training is invaluable. Judges who are still actively competing with their own dogs are becoming rare, and we truly appreciate everything he brought to our field.

A big thank you to our helpers, Marc and Don, for their consistent, hard work in the excruciating heat. And to our tracklayers—Marc, Don, Claudia, and Leanne—outstanding job! The tracking scores spoke for themselves. Marc, you were competing with your own dog, laying tracks, and doing helper work all weekend. I think it’s safe to say you can do it all!

To all of the competitors, thank you for the sportsmanship you showed throughout the weekend. It was a pleasure sharing the field with all of you.

To my elite team—Colleen, who stepped in as trial secretary at the very last minute; Andi, Carol, Claudia, Marc, and Garrett—you are always there to lend a hand, often before anyone even has to ask. I truly don’t know what I’d do without each of you. Kelly and Sue, you were definitely missed!

Congratulations once again to everyone who stepped onto the field last weekend. Sometimes the results aren’t what we hoped for, but it takes courage to walk that center line and put yourself and your dog out there. That alone deserves respect.

It’s already been an incredible year, and I’m excited for everything the months ahead will bring. Here’s to continued growth, new accomplishments, and many more memories together!

Don finished his apprenticeship as a Breed judge and now is USCA Breed Judge #6. He has also been invited to judge tracking at 2027 WUSV championship.
Garrett entered USCA Teaching Helper program.

We hosted regional conformation show, 2 club trials with total of 50 entries and a Sieger Show!
