“Train Up! with LiUNA!” means building confidence before getting on the job!.

Training takes you from 0 to 60 with fundamentals and hands-on practice. This means gaining confidence at the training center and then putting what you learned to work 70 stories above New York City. Concrete is just one of the Laborers’ Trade “bread and butter” skill sets and training gets you ready to prepare, place and strengthen a concrete structure.

Millions of structures in North America contain legacy asbestos - Estimates of roughly 20% of public and commercial buildings and tens of millions of older homes built before the 1980s harbor asbestos-containing materials, totaling an unquantified multi-million ton structural legacy. LIUNA Training connected with school counselors from across the country at the 2026 ASCA Conference to showcase our LEARN high school program that brings hands-on construction education and pre-apprenticeship to 9 - 12 grade students.

In a LEARN classroom, students gain real-world skills, earn industry credentials, and build a direct path into registered apprenticeship, and a rewarding career with LiUNA.

As a dual pathway trade program, students can also go on to career focused post-secondary education.

The only question left is “Are you ready to LEARN”

LIUNA Training puts instructors first by developing the industry’s first and only ANSI/ANAB Accreditation to certify instructors.

As Manny puts it, LIUNA Training plays a vital role in every instructor’s professional development by providing the skills they need that set them apart in the construction industry.

LIUNA Training continues to raise training and educational standards, and even more importantly, LiUNA instructors continue to meet the challenge.
