Today marks the last day of meteorological summer—but not everyone agrees that summer is over just yet!
Did you know there are two ways to define the seasons? Meteorologists consider summer to run from June 1 through August 31, while the astronomical calendar says summer doesn't end until the autumnal equinox later in September. The difference comes down to whether you're following weather patterns or the Earth's position around the sun.
So, we want to know... Which do you go by? The meteorological seasons or the astronomical seasons? Tell us in the comments!

The Pleasanton Lions Club would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Bill Meadows for his leadership and service as President of our club. As Bill begins a new chapter in life, we wish him nothing but the very best and thank him for the time, dedication, and friendship he has shared with our Lions Club.

With Bill’s departure, the Pleasanton Lions Club has voted to elect Terrell Benton as our new President. Terrell looks forward to continuing the great work of our club, serving our community, and building on the foundation laid by Bill and those who have served before him.
