The Woman’s Club of Pleasanton recently awarded 21 scholarships totaling $42,000 to graduating seniors from Pleasanton, Poteet, Charlotte, and Jourdanton high schools. The Club wishes all graduates a successful future! 🎓

Woman’s Club of Pleasanton held their last monthly meeting for the 2025-2026 club year on May 14th. The club recognized Betty Rackley with 20 years of GFWC membership pin and Majorie Smith & Glenda Gaenzel with 10 years of GFWC membership pins. The 2026-2027 Club Officers were installed by outgoing Alamo District President Annette Anderson. The club also donated to ACT Theatre and the Longhorn Museum kids summer programs.

The Woman’s Club of Pleasanton recently donated to Jourdanton, Poteet, Pleasanton, Charlotte, and Lytle Public Libraries. Each library received $500 for their summer reading programs and supplies. Thank you librarians for helping kids find the joy in reading! 📚❤️

The Woman’s Club of Pleasanton hosted the GFWC Texas Alamo District Spring Convention on April 18th. Barbara Harvey, GFWC Texas President, and Carol Habgood, GFWC International Parliamentarian, gave updates on our state and international organizations. District awards were announced and the 2026-2028 Alamo District Officers were installed. 🦋🌸

One hundred and thirty-six years ago, on April 24th, 1890, 63 women from 17 states across the country formally adopted the constitution of the newly-formed General Federation of Women’s Clubs.

Their commitment to each other paved the way for the immeasurable impact clubwomen have had on the world. Today, we celebrate the founding of the General Federation of Women's Clubs and the incredible members who dedicate their lives to serving others.

Woman’s Club of Pleasanton held their monthly club meeting on April 9th at the Longhorn Museum. Pleasanton JROTC Color Guard presented the flags. David Emery, founder of the Atascosa County Metal Detector Club, updated the club on the search for the Battle of Medina site with the Atascosa County Historical Society.
