Today we recognize Marie Fanno on her 1-year work anniversary as a Parent Educator/Home Visitor with INK Texas Home Visiting. Thank you, Marie, for all your hard work and dedication to the program and going above and beyond. Thanks for the yummy baking and your willingness to help continue to keep our program successful. When asked how she felt about her first year Marie responded by saying "I have enjoyed being able to build rapport with the families I serve, it has been very fulfilling." Please join us in wishing Marie a happy 1-year anniversary with the program.

A beautiful Spring Day at the Pleasanton River Park was the setting for a great family day out. Our families enjoyed an egg hunt, a visit from the Easter Bunny, lunch and fellowship with other families. Children were able to play with other children their age and enjoy activities. Resources were available as well; Ascension De Paul will be a new resource coming to Atascosa County to help with a mobile unit for diapers and wipes and they enrolled families for services. We would like to give a special thank you to Little Caeser's Pizza, Aetna, Ascension De Paul, Medi-pro Health, and Ashlie with Atascosa AgriLife Extension. We would also like to thank Josh and Amanda Gonzales and Brianna Carrizales who made the Easter Bunny appearance possible, as well as Matthew Fanno for picking up pizzas and Sam for helping us set up.

What a wonderful day celebrating our expectant moms and moms-to-be! Our community partners with DHS and St. Paul Lutheran Care program gave presentations on breastfeeding, safe sleep as well as information on labor and delivery and after birth care. Our friends with AgriLife Extension stopped by to help us with our donation station. A big thanks to the City of Pleasanton Librarian Gina and Brandi with the Civic Center for allowing us to use the meeting room.

We celebrated 1 year of our Home Visiting Program with a Fiesta themed Parent Group Connection. Families had so much fun making flowers, flags, and sombreros and learning about culture and traditions. We even decorated cookies that our very own Parent Educator Marie made. We also recognized Katlynn Hoover and Siboney Stivers for completing 1 year in the INK Home Visiting Parents as Teachers Program. Congratulations on a successful year and wishing all the best in our 2nd year. 🎉
