Turn Up Her Mic is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization highlighting the experiences and career paths of women working in the live music industry - touring musicians, music directors, tour managers, and more. We create platforms of awareness, dialogue, and opportunity that inform, encourage and increase the number of women in live music. Through informative panels, mentorship programs, and online init

Rachel hails from Staten Island, NY. She is a full time LA based musician, who has had the opportunity to play for artists like MC Lyte, Melanie Fiona, and the Clark Sisters. She received her bachelors from Southwestern Assemblies of God in 2018

Always fascinated by live performances, Amy got her start in the industry helping her high school tech team and taking Protools classes after school. After graduation she attended the New England School of Communications (now known as Husson University) originally for a degree focused in studio engineering but after taking her first live sound class knew the world of concerts and live events was where she wanted to be. While getting her degree she worked as a stagehand at local theaters and rock venues. Aspiring to get into bigger productions she applied to Clair Global - the world’s largest sound company.
After finishing the training program she started out as a PA tech flying mainly Cohesion PA, then later went on to become a monitor systems engineer. After 8 years of being a touring audio technician she has recently road retired but continues to work at Clair as a buyer in the purchasing department.

The Nashville and New York City events will be a networking opportunity, and the Los Angeles party on the exact ten-year anniversary will feature live music, vendors, activities, and more as we recognize the progress that Girls Behind The Rock Show has been championing for the past decade.
