PetSpace and The Book Jewel are teaming up again to bring you a community book event, this time featuring Catherine Ryan Hyde! 📚

The award-winning author will join us virtually on Sunday, June 14, at The Book Jewel in Westchester for a Q&A about her heartfelt novel Where We Belong. Whether you’re an avid reader or simply love connecting with fellow animal lovers, we’d love to have you join us. Can’t make it in person? Everyone who registers for this free event will also receive a Zoom link to attend virtually.

PetSpace is excited to participate in the third annual California Adopt-a-Pet Day, presented by , , and ! 🐾

This Saturday, June 6, we are waiving ALL of our adoption fees for one day only. Everyone deserves to experience the unconditional love of the human-animal bond, and making pet adoption accessible is an important part of placing our adoptables into loving homes.

PetSpace microchips, spays/neuters, and vaccinates all pets appropriately prior to adoption, and adoptions are processed on a first come, first served basis. Click the link in our bio to view all the pets waiting to meet you this Saturday—we update our website daily, so keep an eye out for new adoptables leading up to the big day. See you soon!

California Adopt-a-Pet Day is more than an annual event - it's a moment to celebrate the bond between humans and pets! An adoption day filled with endless moments of laughter and love that will last long after adopting your new furry friend.

On Saturday, June 6, join us, California Animal Welfare Association and The San Francisco SPCA for the second annual California Adopt-a-Pet Day! There will be over 200 adoption sites participating to help find loving homes for 5,000 pets across the state.

Check out some of these adorable faces looking for loving homes:

🐶 5-year-old Chica from Pasadena Humane is all heart and full of love! This girl is easygoing, playful and incredibly affectionate.

🐶 Handsome man Rayne from Wallis Annenberg PetSpace is a mellow dog just looking for the right human to shower with affection.

😺Tetsu from Oakland Animal Services is an incredibly sweet 10-year-old guy who still has plenty of love to give. He adores being around people!

🐶 Robin from the San Francisco SPCA is a playful and enthusiastic 1-year-old Hound mix who loves to make new friends. He's a quick learner, too.

Every adoption frees a space for us to accept another pet into our care, giving them somewhere to land before they’re found by their new pawrent(s). Meet Coco! At just 9 months old and 30 lbs, this sweet girl is full of puppy charm. She’s sweet, smart, attentive, and always eager to learn, especially when treats are involved! Coco loves meeting new people and happily tries to greet everyone she sees on walks.

She’s also a big fan of other dogs! While she can be a little shy at first, it doesn’t take long before she’s zooming around the yard and wrestling with her canine pals. With continued training and guidance, Coco is sure to grow into an incredible companion.

One moment you’re cuddling with a sleeping kitten, but then you turn your back on him for five seconds and all of a sudden he’s a litterbox, or an Olympic swimmer, or whatever Laemmle (Lem-lee) has going on in the fourth slide.

No but seriously, this is too much cuteness all at once. We currently have NINETEEN kittens up for adoption, and they all have their own unique, silly, relentlessly adorable personalities that they’re waiting to share with you. Who wouldn’t want a pair of these things zooming around you before settling down in the cutest cuddle puddle ever?!

Speaking of pairs, PetSpace offers a two-FUR-one special: you can take home two kittens for $100! We encourage adopting kittens in pairs because kittens who grow up with a buddy keep each other entertained and out of trouble, believe it or not: if they’re playing with each other, they aren’t trying to make their own fun by knocking things off your counters or waking you up to play in the middle of the night. It’s a perfect deal: double the cuteness and half the work for the price of one!

Cheddar (left) and Ricotta (right) from the cheese litter are now available for adoption, and we have some insight on their genetics to share thanks to their littermate’s adopter 🐶🧬

Their littermate, Feta, was adopted a few qeeks ago and DNA tested by her new mom. The results just came in: the adorable cheese puppies have some Labrador and Poodle genes running through their veins! We totally see it, do you?

Name a more iconic trio. We’ll wait…

Since Rayne (left), Ms. Ruby (center), and Bernie (right) started playing together in the yard, they’re bringing out the best in each other. Four-year-old Ms. Ruby’s spunky, confident charm has encouraged Rayne (also 4 y/o) to come out of his shell, and five-year-old Bernie’s happy-go-lucky personality brought out a silliness in Ms. Ruby we didn’t know she had!

Your long weekend is about to get even better: PetSpace is OPEN for adoptions tomorrow, May 25, and our adoption fee is just $25 for one day only! 🎉

To help find homes for some of our adoptable pets over the holiday weekend, we’re staying open one extra day from 11am to 5pm for adoptions. Spend the day off work/school with your new BFF—it’s the perfect time to get to know each other, settle in, and begin forming a lifelong bond ❤️

Remember, this reduced adoption fee is only valid on Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day. Click the link in our bio to browse the pets waiting to meet you. We hope you’ll come adopt a new family member!
