This weekend, we hosted over 2,000 attendees for the launch event to celebrate this historic achievement for the Kikaaya community and the country of Uganda 🇺🇬 at large! After receiving official certification from the Federation of Uganda Football Associations, the Kikaaya College Stadium will not only house our school team, but will be utilized by professional teams across the country and beyond! Meet Charles, one of Kikaaya’s star students and a member of the TNF sponsorship family. Before TNF’s sponsorship in 2017, Charles was forced to drop out of school for more than six months. After pairing Charles with a TNF sponsor, Charles has continued to work hard to achieve academic excellence. This past semester, Charles received Kikaaya’s single highest score on his state exams, and performed in the top one percentile of all of Uganda. His dream is to become a politician to advocate for educational rights for the youth of Uganda. Sponsorship breeds academic excellence, hope, and opportunity. Kikaaya X TNF’s chicken coop project is underway! Huge thank you to the Safika Holding Company for sponsoring this amazing initiative. Kikaaya’s new chicken coop will house over 500 chickens, providing much needed food for the Kikaaya community. In addition, excess eggs/poultry will be sold in the Bulenga market to provide a sustainable revenue source for the Kikaaya Secondary School! Can’t forget to mention that this project is being led by Kikaaya’s staff and students together!
