Plantation Historical Society The Historical Museum started as a small museum in a back room of City Hall. In 1985, the Plantation Historical Museum building was unveiled behind the Helen B.

The Plantation Historical Society, Inc., is organized to assist the Plantation Historical Museum in its mission to preserve and protect the historical and archeological heritage of Plantation and South Florida by focusing on the Museum. acts from the Seminole and Tequesta tribes, memorabilia from the Fire and Police departments, and historically significant families, including the Peters’. Each December, the Historical Society creates a Winter Wonderland featuring trees decorated in many designs and cultures. Throughout the year, there are featured exhibits from the State and other museums. Admission is free. Museum Hours

The Plantation Historical Museum, Plantation Historical Society, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. - Upsilon Xi Omega Chapter partnered to bring Juneteenth Family Lingo Bingo to the Museum this past Saturday. Thank you to everyone who participated and sponsored this educational and fun community event.

The Plantation Historical Museum will be closed Friday, June 19th for the Juneteenth holiday and will re-open Saturday, June 20th and Pirate Trivia is at 1 pm.
