Legal Aid Service of Broward County’s 2nd Annual A Night for Justice Gala held last evening at the Design Center of the Americas in Dania Beach was a tremendous success!

Master of Ceremonies Sheli Muñiz of NBC6 presided over the evening along with Incoming Executive Director James Heaton as LASBC honored the below individuals and firms for their outstanding service to the local community:

Attorney of the Year - Nicolas Bastidas, Esq.
Law Firm of the Year – Law Firm of Clare Casas, P.A.
Legal Aid Vanguard Award – Chad Van Horn, Esq.
The Tony Karrat Excellence in Community Service Award – United Way Broward
Spirit of Justice Award – Publix Super Markets

Legal Aid is grateful to all our sponsors, including Title Sponsors Kelley Kronenberg and Justice for Kids. We are also thankful for the generous support of all our patrons, volunteers, and supporters who attended the Gala.

The Streetlight Entertainment Band kept the energy high and got the crowd up and dancing.

On behalf of LASBC Executive Director Debra Koprowski and our Board of Directors, we hope everyone enjoyed the evening, congratulate the honorees one last time, and thank everyone for supporting our mission and bolstering our capacity to change the lives of those who call on our attorneys for help during times of crisis and need!
