🚨 URGENT: 26 ANIMALS IN ONE WEEK. WE NEED YOUR HELP. 🚨

This week alone, Saving Sage took in around 20 cats and kittens and 6 dogs. That’s 26 animals in just a matter of days — and not all of them are even pictured here.

The only reason we were able to say YES to this many animals is because fosters stepped up and opened their homes. But now we need our community to help us financially support them.

Every single animal that comes through our doors costs the rescue money. They need vaccines, exams, medications when necessary, food, supplies, and spay/neuter surgery before they are ready for adoption. When you multiply those expenses by 26 new animals in ONE WEEK, it adds up incredibly fast.

We are so grateful that we have been able to help this many animals in need, but we simply cannot continue rescuing at this volume without the public behind us.

Doberman lovers?? 🥹 🤎

Dobby the doberman puppy was given as a gift to someone and clearly neglected. He’s very underweight and hand shy. If you move too fast he screams and pees himself. So heartbreaking. We will be carefully screening applications for this dog so he is never failed again.

🚨 11 DOGS COULD QUICKLY TURN INTO 50.

We were notified about a property in Hialeah where dogs have been dumped and left to breed. There are currently around 11 dogs, including young adults and puppies, living in the area.

Although they live around people, workers and food trucks, these dogs have never been touched or handled by people and are extremely unsocialized. Some of the puppies are already around 5 months old and approaching sexual maturity. If we don’t get this entire group out now, 11 dogs could very quickly become 30, 40 or 50.

Our team has been out there for the past several days working to safely catch them, and these two are the first ones we’ve been able to bring to safety. We still have a long way to go.

Catching them is only the beginning. Each one will require a tremendous amount of time, patience and dedication to learn to trust people, become comfortable being handled and eventually be ready for adoption.

We are also making multiple trips back and forth to Hialeah in our transport vehicle as we work to catch the remaining dogs, which means the expenses are already adding up.

Welcome Becky into our rescue ♥️

Becky is a gorgeous 9 month old German Shepard. We went to pick up her and her sister and unfortunately they promised the sister to someone else. This is a reminder that it’s irresponsible to rehome unfixed dogs without vetting and reputable rescues put in a lot of work to make sure dogs go to good homes.

Becky is perfect, dog friendly, very nervous still and under socialized but learning fast. She is getting fixed tomorrow and will be available for adoption.

Boomerang 🪃

This cutie came from a trailer park that closed down. He was left abandoned and running up to everyone for food and love. He’s the sweetest (and softest) cat and loves affection. He’s currently being overlooked for being an adult and a black cat. Boomerang is so special. Will you give him a chance?
