For the past three seasons, I have been blessed to work as a Wrangler on HBO’s The Gilded Age—an opportunity that began when the production was looking for Black cowboys in New Jersey who could truly ride, handle horses, and drive, and they found the Crazy Faith Riders of New Jersey (CFRNJ).

Today, I simply want to say THANK YOU to The Gilded Age for giving us a chance to demonstrate our skills, professionalism, horsemanship, and the proud legacy of the Black Cowboy.

A very SPECIAL THANK YOU to Director Salli Richardson-Whitfield, whose leadership and vision have helped create opportunities for Black talent both in front of and behind the camera. Thank you for seeing us, trusting us, and allowing us to contribute to something extraordinary.

And a heartfelt THANK YOU to Wendy, John, and Lisa for believing in us, working with us, and helping open the door for the Crazy Faith Riders of New Jersey. Opportunities like this don’t happen without people willing to give someone a chance—and we will never forget those who gave us ours.

Congratulations to the entire Gilded Age family on receiving 8 Emmy nominations for Season 3, including Outstanding Drama Series! 🏆

Behind every great production are countless people—actors, directors, wranglers, horsemen, drivers, craftspeople and crew—each contributing something to the finished work. CFRNJ is incredibly proud to have played our part.

For generations, Black cowboys rode, trained horses, drove wagons, worked cattle and helped build America—yet too often their contributions were left out of the history books.

So for us, this was bigger than television.

We weren’t just working with horses—we were representing a legacy.

From a small group of Black cowboys in New Jersey to contributing our skills to an Emmy-nominated television production—LOOK WHAT GOD HAS DONE! 🙌🏾🐎

Thank you, The Gilded Age. Thank you, Salli, Wendy, John, and Lisa.

And congratulations on 8 Emmy nominations!

BLACK COWBOYS are not just part of American history—WE ARE STILL HERE. 🤠🐎
