📢 Saturdays in Motion (SIM) Update: Due to significant storm damage sustained by the duCret Center of Art, our (SIM) program is canceled until further notice while the facility undergoes repairs. Our team is actively working to secure a new location so we can welcome everyone back as soon as possible.

Due to ongoing construction repairs at DuCret, we will be unable to hold the July 25 Saturdays in Motion (SIM) session.

Due to significant storm damage at the duCret Center of Art, this week's Saturdays in Motion session (July 11) has been canceled. The facility is temporarily unusable while repairs are underway.

For the Asuncion family, Saturday in Motion at Plainfield YMCA has become more than a program, it has become a community. Through sensory-friendly activities, dedicated support, and a safe environment, their son has been able to build confidence, form meaningful relationships, and explore the world around him at his own pace.

We are pleased to announce that Zaire Ali has joined Greater Somerset County YMCA as the Associate Program Director at Plainfield YMCA.

Zaire brings a plethora of experience, most recently as an adjunct professor at CUNY and a director with Urban Health Collaborative developing programs and building community partnerships. He looks forward to serving the Plainfield community as a member himself where he has seen the city’s growth and ongoing need for strong support for families outside of government systems. Zaire holds several graduate degrees in education and public health.

Join us in welcoming Zaire to our Greater Somerset County YMCA family! We are wishing him much success!
