Finding the right mental health support for your child can feel overwhelming. It is hard to find help that fits your family.

That’s what one ECI parent shared about their experience with our Family-Based Mental Health services, and it’s why we do what we do.

If your child’s doctor or psychiatrist has recommended Family-Based Mental Health services, you have a choice in who provides them. You can ask for Every Child, Inc. by name.

This World Mental Health Day, we're highlighting something we believe in deeply: mental health care should fit the person, not the other way around.

In our outpatient department, we offer strengths-based care for autistic and neurodivergent children, teens, and adults. That includes Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions (NDBI), a play-based, relationship-centered approach to developmental and communication goals. Some families consider it as an alternative to traditional ABA services.

We also support clients with ADHD, social communication challenges, and the emotional side of navigating a world that isn't always built for them.

Our outpatient mental health department is here for children, teens, adults, and families.

Care is built around each person. That might be one-on-one therapy, family therapy, or Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for caregivers of young children. For clients working through trauma, our therapists use evidence-based approaches like EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy.

We see clients in person and virtually, and we accept many major insurance plans.

The holidays are closer than we think, and for many of the children and families we serve, this season can feel heavy. Budgets get stretched. Routines get disrupted. Needs come up that don't fit neatly on a wish list.

Our Holiday Helper program gives you four ways to help make the season a little lighter:

🎁 Wish List Partners: shop for a specific child based on their age and interests
🎧 Teen Wish List: give teens and older youth the gifts they actually want, because they're too often overlooked
🏠 Sponsor a Family: meet one family's needs, from winter coats to grocery cards
⭐ Holiday Hero: give any amount so our caseworkers can fill needs as they come up. Funds are never given to families directly; our team fulfills each need.

Individuals, families, workplaces, and groups are all welcome. Sign-ups close December 1.

Social services work is hard. The people who do it deserve to work somewhere that takes care of them, too.

At Every Child, we're a smaller agency, and we've learned that's one of our strengths. Our staff know each other across departments. Our leadership team is approachable. Our supervisors listen, and they bring staff concerns forward without hesitation.

When our team raises something, it doesn't disappear. We listen, and we do what we can.

That's the kind of workplace we work at being every day. ❤️

Mental health isn't just for adults. 💛

Kids need space to learn how to talk about their feelings, care for themselves, and understand that asking for help is okay — not something to be ashamed of. They're never too young to start building these skills: naming what they feel, coping with the heavy stuff, and treating self-care as a daily practice instead of an afterthought.

The more we normalize talking about mental health, the more likely kids are to speak up when they actually need support.

Today is National Voter Registration Day.

At Every Child, Inc., we see every day how policy decisions shape the support available to children and families — from foster care and family preservation to mental health services. The programs that keep kids safely with their families, or connect them with the care they need, depend in part on the choices made by elected officials at every level.

That's why we're taking a moment today to encourage our community to check that your voter registration is current and ready to go.

Why it matters for kids and families:
Decisions about funding for child welfare, mental health services, and family support programs are made by the people we elect. When you register and vote, you're helping ensure those decisions are made by people who understand what's at stake for the most vulnerable families in our community.

You don't have to work in this field to advocate for it — showing up to vote is one of the simplest, most powerful ways to do that.

Our staff don't work in isolation — and that's by design.

Every Child, Inc. runs a full continuum of care: Family Preservation, Foster Care & Adoption, Family-Based Mental Health, and Outpatient Mental Health Services. Because our teams have access to that continuum, staff gain perspective from more than just their own program — a foster care caseworker understands what preservation work looks like, a therapist sees how outpatient care connects to in-home support.

That shared knowledge means the family in front of us benefits from the full breadth of what our organization knows, not just one team's lane.
