When Norah's family dreamed about travel, they never imagined a trip beyond an hour from home would be possible. 💭

Living with a nervous system disorder meant navigating mobility challenges and relying on specialized medical equipment. But when Norah's wish to visit Walt Disney World® Resort came true, her WishMakers helped coordinate every detail, including transporting the medical devices she depends on.

At Disney, Norah experienced wheelchair-accessible attractions, colorful parades and sensory-filled adventures designed for every child to enjoy.

"To see her fully recognized in a world that usually isn't so accessible was emotional," said her mom, Tiffany.

Micah has always loved movies and the way they immerse him in different worlds. But they became even more important when he was diagnosed with lymphoma last spring.

“When I was diagnosed with cancer, one of the ways, you know, I got through that was just watching movies with my family... That was something we all did together and we've always loved doing," said Micah.

Micah's wish for a home theater gave him a space to enjoy his favorite hobby with the people he loves, making new memories that shine brighter than those of his time in treatment. 📽️🍿

These Juniata Elementary Student WishMakers made a big splash with their fifth annual Make-A-Wish Duck Derby! 🦆🫧

Each year, the students fundraise by inviting family and friends to “adopt” $5 rubber ducks, and everyone gathers to watch the ducks race downstream between the two bridges near the school. Big thanks to the Courier Express for coming out to cover these swift swimmers for a great cause.

This year, the students’ goal was to raise $5,000— enough to grant one whole wish. But their little ducks blew that goal out of the water, raising $10,000 and granting two life-changing wishes! 🌊

When Emmett was diagnosed with leukemia, his carefree childhood as he knew it changed. Instead, chemotherapy treatments and waiting with bated breath for the results of each scan became his new reality.

So, when Emmett qualified for a wish, he wanted to go to a place where kids can be kids and the only limit is your imagination: Universal Epic Universe in Orlando! 🎢⛲ During their time in the parks, Emmett and his family made memories that were untainted by the stress of doctors' appointments and treatments. After everything they'd been through, the value of that time together was priceless. 💙

Join us in Bridgeville, Pa., on Wednesday, Oct. 7, for the Bridgeville Greater Area Lions Club’s 10th Annual Pasta Dinner benefiting Make-A-Wish! 🍝

This dinner takes place in the Chartiers Room of the Bridgeville VFD; and while you eat, you can try your luck at some great raffle baskets, an auction and 50/50. Takeout dinners are also available.
