FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Operation: E.A.T, a project of the Pittsburgh Green Innovators, Inc. & Energy Innovation Center Kitchen, has partnered with E.A.T. Initiative, 412 Food Rescue, and other local food providers in the region to feed those in underserved communities & industries in need. Through a network of Veteran, Minority and Women Entrepreneurs, we provide meal kits to nourish our community members, neighbors and families ravished by the COVID-19 pandemic.
COVID-19 has devastated the local restaurant and hospitality industry, thrusting those in the service industry into hard times. Operation: E.A.T. has assembled a city-wide network of thought and action leaders and organizations addressing food insecurities in underserved Pittsburgh neighborhoods and surrounding regions. Positioned at the apex of shared resources, human capital and physical space, Operation E.A.T. offers opportunities to return the service to those whose livelihoods were built on serving our neighborhoods. By purchasing meal kits or donating directly, Operation E.A.T. is able to provide free meals to our recipients, and for every meal kit we sell, we serve a family in Allegheny, Westmoreland, Butler and Washington Counties.
“Buy One to Serve Others” isn’t just a slogan, but a lifestyle. This post-911 Veteran led initiative will support those in need, through our locally curated and authentically Pittsburgh meal kits. Whether you want to purchase a meal kit to enjoy at home, advocate for your restaurant staff and business employees, or simply looking to donate to “Pay it Forward”, visit www.OperationEAT.net and join us today.
