Meet Raemon Buckner, aka Mr. Rae!

Raemon went from being a CARES student to becoming a member of the staff, giving him the opportunity to experience CARES from a whole new perspective. ✨

From his favorite memories as a student to what he loves most about CARES today, Raemon’s story is another example of the lasting impact our programs can have on the young people we serve.

Located at 613 Granville St. in Pittsburgh’s Hill District, the CARES Community Healing Garden continues to bring fresh produce, herbs, and community together.

In partnership with Sunny’s Community Garden, our garden is a space where neighbors can connect with nature, enjoy what’s growing, and experience the joy of growing fresh food right here in our community. 🥕🌿

✨ CARES STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: A’LASIA AIKEN ✨

Meet A’Lasia! 💙 A proud senior at Bishop Canevin High School, A’Lasia is a High Honor Roll student with a 4.277 cumulative GPA and a 4.61 junior-year GPA.

Beyond the classroom, she’s making an impact as President of the Black Leadership Advisory Council and a Center That Cares Program Ambassador, where she mentors younger students and supports her community.

With a passion for dentistry, A’Lasia plans to study Biology in college and pursue her dream of becoming an orthodontist.

We’re proud to celebrate A’Lasia, her leadership, and the bright future ahead of her! 🌟

Through our Emergency Housing Assistance, Hamilton House offers support for individuals or families facing homelessness or displacement due to crises. These services provide safe accommodations and access to resources like food, counseling, and assistance in finding long-term housing solutions.
