Through partnerships, education, and collaboration GRID will develop the people who will develop the energy industry. PURPOSE:
GRID brings together HR leaders in the energy industry with a variety of views and experience to promote the constructive exchange of ideas and information. GRID is
designed to maintain a productive environment free of solicitation, competition, or conflicting ag
endas. Through GRID, people within the industry will lead the industry. MISSION:
HR professionals from energy companies working together to overcome challenges
and share best practices to continuously raise the standard of excellence for ourselves,
our companies, and the industry. OBJECTIVES:
• To bring together leaders and emerging leaders within HR in the energy industry
to work together in an open and collaborative manner
• To inform and educate the members of GRID and the industry over-all on best
practices, innovation, and benchmarking data within the HR arena.
• To improve the overall quality, performance, and image of HR within the energy
industry, the organizations that members represent, and ultimately the industry
as a whole. STRATEGIES:
1. Implement a leadership model, developed by Align Leadership that leverages “PEER™ Technology” through organizational cohorts to engage in peer learning
and mentoring on a monthly basis. The process is a cross between coaching, facilitation, and knowledge transfer with the goal to establish and share best practices and innovation within HR, industry-wide.
2. Organize and present key information and ideas shared within the cohort in a public forum (conferences, panel discussions, etc.) with a goal of pushing information out every 4-6 months.
3. Facilitate and grow a network of valuable and inuential leaders in the HR energy arena and open lines of communication and camaraderie among members.
