😼 MISS KITTY HERE. I HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT.

I would like to officially report that I successfully foster-failed my human. 🐾

She thought she was fostering me. 😂
Adorable. Absolutely adorable.

I simply moved in, found the softest blankets, claimed the best sleeping spots, perfected my judgmental stare, and waited patiently for her to realize that I was never leaving. 👑

One year later, here we are.

I have a home.
I have servants.
I have snacks.
I have a human who is completely obsessed with me.

And she has… me. 😹❤️

Honestly, I think we both got exactly what we wanted.

Mission: Foster Fail — SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED. ✅🐈‍⬛

The Tale of the Trap-Savvy Tomcat

A couple of weeks ago I connected with a client who had requested our help with a backyard feral she’d been feeding.

I met with her, loaned a trap and trained her on how to use it along with best practices for trapping… long story short, this Tom was very trap-savvy! We decided it best to condition the Tom to entering a zip-tied open, (not set) trap by only feeding inside of the trap until he got comfortable entering it…

Client texting me:

Ok I’m starting to think this cat has had a bad experience with a trap.
Got the food just inside the trap. All ok But when I moved it another few inches, no way.
Watched that smarty go to each side looking for a way to reach the food. Walked away in a sulk.
Came back later and stretched an arm inside to pull the dish out. I was using a light plastic and that rascal got the food completely out of the trap.
Gave me a Gen Z stare with what I believe was relish.
Cat 1 Me 0
So back to the trap entrance and a slow inching of a heavy ceramic bowl.
Whew. Long update but there you have Monday.

My response:

Wow! They are SO SMART! Keep at it. You’re doing the best we can at this point. I have 3 males I’ve attempted to trap at our managed colony on the waterfront, all of them still have their nuggets 😖😄

Client:

Snapped a few pics from behind because it looked like this kitty had uneven ear tips. Really don’t notice from the front because of hair growth. Do you think this cat has already been fixed?
Just wondering if all my efforts to trap have been the cat training me to feed it. 🙄

My response:

Definitely looks like a left ear tip!!
No wonder he’s so savvy!! 🤣🩵

Client:

Yep
Training a human. 😂
Guess you can come get the trap for a kitty that needs it.

TNR and early intervention, a great duet!!

Sweet little Spyder recently showed up at a kindly neighborhood colony and got connected to us as soon as she made weight! Now this is how it’s done!

By the way… Spyder is a sweet, petite little tuxie, vaccinated and spayed and looking for her forever home off the streets.

This past weekend, Joybound's clinic team spent a long day spaying, neutering, and providing much-needed veterinary care to 70 community cats, brought in by community cat partner organizations.
This Community Cat Fix Fest event was made possible through partnerships with our dedicated partners: Feral Support Inc, The Cat Garden Rescue, Cat Support Network, Delta View Cats, Kim's Nurturing Nest Animal Sanctuary, and Pawsitively Safe.

This LilBit is one step closer to her forever home 😻🥰🩷

Need a foster ASAP!

This gorgeous little, tiny girl was dumped last night at a colony that we at Delta View Cats manage.
We brought her home and fed her, she uses the litter box like a champ and is playful - she needs a foster desperately - anyone?

Very friendly and sweet, so someone has handled her before they decided she was trash to be thrown away 😠
