Today, we remember the life of another fallen hero taken far too soon. The MSPAA honors the life and sacrifice of TFC. Mart Hudson 51 years after his passing.

TFC. Hudson was struck and killed by a drunk driver while assisting a disabled motorist on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge near the Maryland - Virginia state line.

He was setting out flares behind the disabled vehicle when he was struck. The 17-year-old suspect, who fled, was arrested by Virginia officers minutes later. He was charged with numerous violations.

Trooper Hudson had served with the Maryland State Police for nine months and was 25 year old at the time of his death. He was survived by his mother, stepfather, and fiancee.

TFC. Hudson's final resting place is the Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery located in Severna Park, MD. May he rest in peace.

Today, the MSPAA remembers the life of TFC Wesley Brown, another hero who tragically lost his life at a young age.

Trooper First Class Brown was shot and killed at approximately 12:40 a.m. while working an off-duty security detail at a restaurant in Forestville, Maryland on this date in 2010.
Two men, including the one that Trooper First Class Brown had escorted out of the restaurant earlier that evening, were arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
Trooper First Class Brown had served with the Maryland State Police for three years and was assigned to the Forestville Barracks. He was 24 years old and was survived by his parents. TFC. Brown's final resting place is Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Suitland, MD. May he rest in peace.

Today, 47 years after his death, the MSPAA remembers and honors the life of TFC. William P. Mills, Jr. While investigating a domestic complaint involving neighbors, Trooper First Class Mills was shot with a .38-caliber pistol. He fell to the ground and attempted to get his service revolver when he was struck in the chest area with a bullet from a high-powered rifle. He died a short time later at Peninsula General Hospital. The incident occurred in Brookview, a small town on Maryland's Eastern Shore. TFC. Mills was 32 years old at the time of his death and had served with the MSP for 9 years. He was also a veteran who had served in the Vietnam conflict, rising to the rank of Sergeant in the Air Force. TFC. Mills' final resting place is East New Market Cemetery, located in Dorchester County, MD.
