We, as members of the Alabama Tire Dealers Association, do affirm our faith in the free enterprise system and acknowledge our personal responsibility to our customers, our employees, and our community in adhering to this Code of Ethical Practices. As Tire and Service Specialists:

The 2026 ATDA Scholarship Recipients were invited to submit essays to be considered for the prestigious Greg East Memorial Scholarship.

Greg East served in many roles and was well known to many people. Among his many activities were serving as a volunteer firefighter, fire chief, Randolph County Volunteer Fire Department Board member, Sunday school treasurer, deacon, and member of Harmony Congregational Methodist Church. He also served on the board of the Alabama Tire Dealer Association.
It is with great honor that we carry on his legacy through a scholarship to deserving individuals. The recipient of this scholarship is chosen based on a written explanation of how they plan to use their degree to impact their community. This year’s recipient of the Greg East Memorial Scholarship is Sydney Cornelius, sponsored by Stephenson Tire Pros.

Sydney Cornelius is a 2026 graduate of Brooks High School, where she distinguished herself through academics, leadership, athletics, and service. She plans to attend Auburn University, where she will double-major in Biomedical Sciences and Exercise Science.

This past weekend, ATDA and AAAS members, along with industry guests from the Southeast, gathered at The Lodge at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, AL, for an unforgettable event. The weekend was filled with networking opportunities, plenty of sunshine, beach time, great food, laughs, and fellowship. 🚗🛠️

Members and guests took advantage of many opportunities to network, discuss industry issues, and learn from industry experts. Highlights include:

🏌️‍♂️ Golf tournament at Craft Farms and a fishing trip with High Cotton Charters gave attendees and vendors the opportunity to enjoy Alabama's beautiful Gulf Coast before gathering for a lively Friday evening Vendor Fair.
🎤 Comedian Jody Fuller had members laughing throughout an entertaining performance, followed by educational sessions featuring industry experts who shared valuable insights and information on current topics affecting the industry.
🎓 We were proud to recognize our scholarship programs, with three of this year's 17 scholarship recipients in attendance. Congratulations to all of our recipients, including Sydney Cornelius, sponsored by Stephenson Tire Pros, who was awarded the Greg East Memorial Scholarship.
🎓 Mike Bollon, Jim Whaley Tires, introduced the Randall Hayes Memorial Scholarship Fund on behalf of Gateway Tire Southeast's Wesley Hayes and Amanda Shannon, honoring Randall Hayes' legacy and investing in the future of our industry.
🏆 Saturday evening concluded with a memorable Hall of Fame ceremony, where Eddie Hardwick of Road Mart inducted Steve Westmoreland into the Alabama Tire Dealers Hall of Fame in recognition of his lifelong contributions to the tire industry and his community.
