Lozahatchee Lodge No. 97 has always been part of the Piedmont area. But depending on the post office and whatever was considered “official” at the time, the community name we were tied to has changed over the years. We have been connected with Shady Grove, Cross Plains, Spring Garden, and even Goshen.
We have been working to digitize our earliest known records, and this came out of one quarterly report from 1854 to 1855. We found this older lodge design in the paperwork and cleaned it up digitally so it could be seen clearly again. It is always cool to find lodge history, but it is even better when you find old designs like this from before the days of digital design and modern graphic work. Just straightforward pride in workmanship and pride in the Lodge.
More to come as we continue to preserve and organize these early records.
