"I need to talk to you... I'm ready."

Those were the words we heard today when a woman walked through the doors of Orion Communities with her bags packed. For months, she had been coming to Orion, struggling with addiction but not yet ready to seek treatment.

Each time, our team reminded her we would be here when she was ready.

Today, with the encouragement of a supportive partner and some courage of her own, she decided she was ready.

Orion was there. Our team helped coordinate her admission to a local treatment facility, arranged transportation, and stayed with her until her ride arrived.

We don't know what tomorrow will bring, but today she took an important first step. Sometimes, the most meaningful thing we can offer to others is simply keeping our promise to be there.

We are here for you, always: https://buff.ly/1IGc3NT
