As she begins her next chapter, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank Vivona Xu for the incredible impact she has made at Orion Communities. And we extend our congratualations to her as Valedictorian of Phoenixville's class of 2026!

Over the years, Vivona has worn many hats—serving as our Social Media Intern, supporting our after school Programs, and volunteering at community initiatives like our annual Coat Drive. She has consistently brought enthusiasm, compassion, and dedication to everything she does.

Vivona's commitment to serving others and making a difference in her community has been evident in every role she has taken on. We are grateful for the time, talent, and energy she has shared with Orion and the families we serve.

Please join us in congratulating Vivona and wishing her continued success in all that lies ahead. We know she will accomplish great things, and we can't wait to see where her journey takes her next! 💜

What if Christmas came in June?

This month, we're asking our community to help stock Orion's Basic Needs Pantry with items families need most during the summer months.

Most-needed items include:
✔️ Gift cards (Walmart, Target, Wawa)
✔️ Laundry detergent
✔️ Personal care items
✔️ Toilet paper & paper towels
✔️ Cleaning supplies
✔️ Sunscreen
✔️ Food & gas cards

Every donation makes a difference.

👉 Bring items during the Phoenixville Art Street Festival on June 13
👉 Or shop our wishlist and send items directly to Orion

🎓 Join us in celebrating Tayla on earning her Master’s Degree in Social Work! 👏

✨ Over the past two years, Tayla dedicated herself to an intensive graduate program focused on supporting individuals, families, and communities through courses in crisis intervention, grief and loss, research methods, advocacy, and more.Through her practicums and mentorship from Angela and Maria, Tayla strengthened her leadership and crisis intervention skills while deepening her commitment to social work values and community impact.

💙 Tayla plans to pursue her licensure and continue helping people navigate complex systems through hospital social work, with hopes of eventually working in policy to create broader systemic change.

We are so proud of Tayla’s hard work, compassion, and dedication to making a difference in the lives of others. Congratulations, Tayla! 🎉

Thanks to the dedication of our staff, volunteers, and board members, 600 potty training books (in THREE languages!) are headed to Chester County Headstart . And another 200 books are ready for Family Literacy Night at Spring City Elementary School 📚

Because access to learning should meet every child—and every family—where they are.

We are saddened to share the passing of Emeritus Board member Glenn Moses on March 18, 2026, at the age of 67.

Glenn’s journey with Orion began in 1991, and for more than 15 years on our Board, he remained a true “keeper of the flame” for our mission—serving with compassion, dedication, and an ever-present smile. Just days before his passing, Glenn joined us at Casino Royale, reconnecting with friends, playing Blackjack, and even taking a spin on the dance floor.

Glenn lived life fully, using his all-terrain chair to stay active, attend concerts, go camping, and never miss a chance to be part of the moment. His joy, resilience, and deep care for others touched countless lives, and he will be greatly missed.
