A big thank you to everyone who came out for CHAMP, the annual collaborative childhood cancer event that raises awareness, funds, and education for our childhood cancer community. We were overwhelmed by the profound sense of hope, passion, and determination on display by young and old alike.

Days like this show how crucial nonprofits such as Cancer Response Team are in advocating for and providing support to children facing pediatric cancer diagnoses—offering emergency financial help, transportation to treatment, counseling, and connections to vital resources. Cancer Response Team's CEO – – recently received a life-changing donation to help fund our organization's mission. This amazing financial support will impact so many children and families battling this terrible disease. Here's what Stefan had to say in response to receiving this impactful gift:

"Yesterday I opened an envelope and fell to my knees. Inside was a $20,000 check made out to Cancer Response Team and a note from a family that simply said, “Keep up the fight.” My heart is overflowing. “Thank you” feels far too small.

Join Cancer Response Team at September Champ with over 2,000 attendees and more than 28 non-profit organizations joining together for the annual collaborative childhood cancer event.

Start the day off with a 5K run or walk with friends then share a pancake breakfast. Afterwards there will be food, activities, vendors, and dozens of non-profit organizations on hand with hundreds of ways you can get involved and help make a difference in the fight against childhood cancer.

Run to beat the clock or walk at your own pace to recognize the children who have fought, are fighting, or yet to be diagnosed with Childhood Cancer.

Every child battling cancer deserves the ability to seek integrative and complementary cancer therapies. Cancer Response Team exists to provide financial support to these children and their families so that they may achieve better outcomes during treatment. But we can't do this work alone without the generous support of donors. These brave children don't deserve this terrible disease, but we can give them the hope of so much more. This is a battle we can win, together.

We are humbled to introduce our wonderful community to Mac, a brave young boy benefiting from integrative treatments supported by CRT. His mother, Alexa, was kind enough to share a little about Mac with us:

"Mac is a sweet 20 month old who was diagnosed with B cell ALL in February of this year. He is doing great so far and has maintained his happy and friendly demeanor. He smiles and waves at everybody and is just the happiest little guy! He has a 2 1/2 year battle and we are here fighting alongside him the whole way!"
